Nested DockableFrames

Postby marcusleich » Wed Aug 18, 2004 3:29 am

What about the posibility of placing DockableFrames within DockableFrames?

In my JIDE app I can drag a floating frame on to another floating frame and both are place in some kind of container.
What if this container frame would also be a DockableFrame?
You could autohide it in your main frame and have great costumized toolbar that shows all the information you need.

Docking Framework treats all dockable frames equally. I don't think you can nest dockable frames. You can have multile dockable frames in the same floating container. But the container is not a dockable frames but a JDialog.

You could autohide it in your main frame and have great costumized toolbar that shows all the information you need.

I didn't understand this sentence.
