How to hide headers in Hierarchical table

I have a table that extends HierarchicalTable. I want to display only the data without and header.
Setting table.setHeaderTable(null) is not achieving this result.
Is this teh right approach or is there an alternate route?

Please try to invoke yourTable.getTableHeader().setPreferredSize(new Dimension(0,0)) to hide the table header.
