...fetching this topic...

I don't know exactly, what jainpank means with "Outlook toolbar button style".

If it is like the following, then let me mention that it's great that you working on it. Let us know soon, when we may use it. If not - this is my product suggestion...

Eclipse has combined toolbar-buttons which has a drop-down-component and an action-component (like normal toolbar buttons). The drop-down shows a menu (like JMenu) with submenus a.s.o.

Also there is another feature in that eclipse toolbar button: the common action-component of that button performs - if clicked - always the last performed action which is the last selected action of the drop-down-menu.

could you implement a method or a constructor value to choose this feature in your toolbar buttons too?

Thanks in advance :)

I believe this is exactly what jainpank asked, also what we are working on. So stay tune. Thanks.

We forgot to update this thread. The new component you guys asking for is called JideSplitButton. It's released along JIDE Action Framework a while ago.

Thanks.

Yes, we've seen it in the "action-framework"...

But there is one question left:

In some L&F, if there is a text in the button, the "onmouseover"-Effekt let's disapear the text. There is only the highlighted rectangle visible.

Could you fix this bug?

Thx,
Robert

Which version are you on? I believe this is fixed in patch 3 of 1.6.0.

October 19, 2004 - Patch 3 to 1.6.0

(Component) Fixed text has the same color on JideSplitButton under all L&Fs except Office 2003.
