Jide components & look and feels

Postby Humberto Padget » Thu Apr 02, 2009 8:45 am

Hi,

can i use any "look and feel" with your components?, that is because when i used "Nimbus" "Look & feel" and your DateComboBox, didn't work.

We want to use your components with our custom "look & feel". What problem we could have? is that posible?

Thanks

Most of our components will get the style of what L&F you are setting but not all our components will. DateComboBox which is built on top of AbstractComboBox uses the button component from a JComboBox, so it usually will have the same style as that of the L&F (such as Windows L&F or Metal L&F). But sometimes the JComboBox implementation of a particular L&F is so different that our approach won't work very well. In this case, we have to write code to make it looks good and it has to be done for each L&F. Since we are not officially supporting Nimbus, this work is not done yet.

Thanks,
